“American Visionary: John F. Kennedy’s Life and Times”, is a photography exhibit covering John F. Kennedy’s life on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
An unflinching look at his life during the golden age of photojournalism.
Guest curated by Lawrence Schiller, this compact show opens today at Smithsonian American Art Museum.
Photos on the walls, printed in the largest commonly printed size of their times, are supported by photos also displayed in the newspapers and magazines of their times, where most people would have seen them.
This exhibit is presented in conjunction with the publication of the book, “JFK – A Vision For America” and marks the beginning of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s birth.
Open through September 17, 2017.
