But he was only able to visit once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don&#8217;t be like George and let eight years pass before deciding to visit Mount Vernon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Especially when this weekend, you can see something our first president never got to. Younger children can meet soldiers and ask any questions they have. Older kids can learn the more technical side of how our army functioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pick up a Mother&#8217;s Day present, taste colonial foods for a morning snack, test your skills at making rope, and hear the crack of musket fire and the sounds of hundreds of marching feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s an immersive experience for kids and adults alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Revolutionary War weekend is May 3-4, from 9 am to 5 pm.
