Rare Chance to See the Entire Constitution on Display at the National Archives

The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are the two most important documents on display at the National Archives.

And now, for the first time ever, you can see the entire Constitution and its Amendments in one spot.

This historic display is in honor of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary. It includes the rare “fifth page” of the Constitution, a document with instructions for implementing the Constitution signed by George Washington himself, alongside seventeen Constitutional Amendments. Many of these documents have never been on public view before.

The founding documents in the National Archives Rotunda draw millions of visitors each year. This special display is a fantastic chance to see the entire story of how our country came to be.

In this time of turmoil, it’s important to remember the men who established this country and gave us the freedoms we enjoy today.

The display is on view in the National Archives Rotunda until October 1, 2025. The Archives will remain open until 7 pm Saturday-Sunday for the next two weeks, so more visitors have a chance to see it.
