The Smithsonian Needs Another Peter Parker

When facing the task of rebuilding a Smithsonian symbolizing inspiration and American greatness, President Trump should find the next Peter Parker to serve as Smithsonian Regent.

This photo, from 1880, depicts the Building Committee for the Smithsonian National Museum. Peter is the man in the long black coat and tall black top hat standing with the other committee members during construction.

Peter Parker was an evangelical Christian who opened the first hospital in China in 1844. As a Yale-educated eye surgeon, he opened the Ophthalmic Hospital in Canton to serve the Chinese with medicine and the gospel.

The U.S. Government also used Peter Parker as an emissary before we even had an Ambassador in China.

We need an accomplished, unapologetic, evangelical Christian on the Board of Regents again to push the Smithsonian back to greatness.

Today, the National Museum building sits vacant. Many feel the Smithsonian has lost its way in the destructive swamp that is wokism.

We need a Peter Parker to help us get back underway.

What’s the last great thing the Smithsonian has built? Which Christian is willing to take on the task of rebuilding the Smithsonian Institution?
